Safety Centre

Your wellbeing comes first — here's how to stay safe on and off Covey.

In an emergency

If you are in immediate danger, stop reading this and call 999 (or your local emergency number) right now.

Meeting safely

  • Video call first. Always do a short video call before meeting in person to confirm she is who she says she is.
  • Meet in public. First meet-ups should be in a busy public place — a park, gym lobby, café — never a private home.
  • Tell a friend. Share who you're meeting, where, and when. Drop a pin to a trusted contact.
  • Stay sober. Keep a clear head for the first few meetings.
  • Arrange your own transport. Don't rely on the other person for a lift home.
  • Trust your gut. If something feels off, leave. You owe no-one an explanation.

Reporting & blocking

You can report any user, message or community post directly from inside the app — tap the menu (⋯) and choose Report. You can also Block any user from their profile or chat: they won't be able to see your profile, message you, or appear in your Discover feed.

All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We aim to action urgent safety reports within 24 hours.

Looking after your wellbeing

Social apps can be intense. Take breaks. Mute chats that aren't serving you. You're never obligated to keep talking to anyone — unmatching, leaving a community, or blocking are all completely valid.
